SNMP is an SNMPv2c monitoring application for Cisco Routers and Switches. It gives you near realtime updates for system CPU, memory and interface utilization. This app is important if you need to know what your Cisco Router or Switch is doing. Enterprise monitoring apps can only offer you 2 to 5 minute intervals for statistic updates. While these apps do offer historical and trend analysis, SNMP will augment your monitoring portfolio by monitoring a critical device near realtime. SNMP , or SNMP to the power of one, will let you monitor one Cisco router or switch at a time.
